What happens to your data after canceling Fyxer
What we delete, what we keep, and how long it takes when you close your account.
When you cancel or delete your Fyxer account, your data is handled securely, transparently, and in line with strict privacy and data protection standards.
You always own your data
You own the content in your Fyxer account. If you use Fyxer through an organization account, that content belongs to your organization.
Fyxer only accesses your email, calendar, and meeting data to deliver the features you explicitly enable, such as email categorization, draft replies, scheduling, and meeting summaries.
All email drafts require your review and approval
Your data is never sold
Your data is not used to train public or external AI models
You choose whether your data helps train Fyxer's own AI models
What happens when you cancel or delete your account
When you delete your Fyxer account or remove your email connection:
Immediate effects
Fyxer immediately stops accessing your inbox, calendar, and meetings
No new drafts, categorization, or follow-ups are created
No further data is processed
Data deletion
All data associated with your account is securely deleted, including:
Email processing data
Draft history
Meeting transcripts and summaries
Personalization data, such as your writing style and preferences
Any temporary or cached processing data
Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
What we keep after deletion
Billing, tax, and account records, which we keep for as long as the law requires, usually six years
If your data was used to train Fyxer's models before you left, it can't be removed from models that have already been built, but it won't be used again. Before use, data was pseudonymized and sensitive information removed
What about emails, folders, and labels in my inbox?
Fyxer never deletes your emails.
When removing your email connection, you can choose whether to:
Remove all Fyxer-created folders and labels, or
Keep them for reference
If you keep folders or labels, they remain static in your mailbox and Fyxer no longer interacts with them in any way.
How long does deletion take?
Access is revoked and deletion begins as soon as your account closes
For 30 days after that, we may be able to recover your content if you ask us. For organization accounts, an admin needs to ask
After 30 days, your content can't be recovered
Once deleted, Fyxer cannot restore your data.
Inactive free accounts
If a Free account isn't used for 90 days, we delete it. We'll email you at 60 days and again at 75 days, and signing in at any point keeps your account. This doesn't apply to paid plans.
Data deletion and privacy requests
If you'd like formal confirmation of deletion, or want to make a GDPR or other privacy request, contact privacy@fyxer.com. If your account is part of an organization, we'll pass requests about its content to your organization.
